After that, the two sides launched various cooperation programs on student and teacher exchange, collaborative research, data sharing and co-organizing academic conference. Chiba University was the first international partner of HNU.

Secretary of the HNU CPC Committee Liu Keli visited Chiba University in 2013.
Over the past 30 years, HNU has sent 8 president-led delegations to visit Chiba University, as well as 49 teachers and 156 students to study there. Meanwhile, Chiba University has dispatched over ten delegations to HNU, sending 77 teachers and 163 students to study here. The cooperation fields have developed from design to literature, engineering, natural science and sociology. The exchange students were undergraduates at the beginning, and then continued on to become graduate students and doctoral students. The exchange arrangement ascended from university level to the national level.
Thanks to decades of joint efforts, the two universities continuously optimized bilateral cooperation, while inter-university friendship has been further strengthened.
