Recently, a research paper titled “Fast Range Query Processing with Strong Privacy Protection for Cloud Computing”, written by Li Rui from College of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering of HNU as the first and primary author, has been accepted by the premier international database forum Very Large Data Bases (VLDB2014) and published in PVLDB Volume 7. This is the first research paper by HNU teacher that has been published in the top international database forum, marking a milestone in HNU’s international image.
Li Rui and Professor Alex X. Liu of Michigan State University jointly completed this paper. It concerns the problems of privacy preserving range query processing on clouds, and proposes the first range query processing scheme that achieves index indistinguishability under the indistinguishability against chosen keyword attack (IND-CKA), and will be significant for the promotion of widespread use of cloud computing.
This paper has been widely acknowledged among the international academic peers, indicating a new breakthrough. in HNU’s Computer Science research on cloud computing.
