“A Discussion on Soft Power and International Relations as well as Socialism Issues among Scholars from China, USA and Russia” was hosted by HNU on the afternoon of October 16th. Prof. Zhang Guozuo, Chief Director of China Cultural Soft Power Research Center, Prof. Борис Олегович Комоцкий, Councilor of the Russian State Duma, Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) as well as Chief Editor of Pravda, and Prof. Wadih Halabi, Member of the Economics Commission of the Communist Party of the United States were invited to extend speeches and interact with each other on the site. Focusing on cultural soft power, international relations, globalization, socialism development, disintegration of the Soviet Union, and education on Marxism, the three scholars exchanged their ideas and gave a heated debate. Tang Yayang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC HNU Committee, presided over the forum.
