On the morning of November 4, the unveiling ceremony of National Supercomputing Center in Changsha was held at Hunan University. Vice Governor of Hunan Province Li Youzhi unveiled the nameplate of the center, marking its official operation.
Approved in October 2010, National Supercomputing Center in Changsha is the third of its kind following the other two in Tianjin and Shenzhen. With the main building covering an area of about 27,000 square meters, the center boasts sound abilities of upgrading and establishing large cloud computing center. Equipped with "Tianhe No.1" host system, the computers are superb in performance, with technical indexes reaching national advanced level.
Actively expanding service fields, the center will insist on combination of public welfare and profit. In line with market-oriented operation, it strives to provide high-performance computing services to society and the public.
