2014 China College Students Bridge Championships was held at the north campus of Hunan University from July 22 to 26. It was sponsored by the Bridge Branch of the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC) and undertook by Hunan University (HNU).

80 teams composed of over 540 contestants from 49 universities such as Tsinghua University and Peking University participated in the 5-day tournament, to compete for top rankings in 5 items, including open team, women’s team, mixed doubles, open doubles, and women’s doubles. Finally, HNU team won the championship in mixed doubles, and the first and second prize in women’s doubles, making the best result of the university’s history.

Hunan University, as one of the universities developing bridge game early, has organized bridge associations for both staff and students, and has provided specialized cardrooms and optional course on bridge to encourage students to take part in the bridge games.
