Recently, the signing ceremony of Guangdong Research Institute of Hunan University, co-sponsored by the Shunde District Government and Hunan University, was held in Huagui Garden. Located in South Wisdom Valley and occupying an area of more than 70,000 square meters, the institute plans to set up the Shunde service center-- one branch of the national super computing center in Hunan University, establish an industrialization base, and bring in two national key laboratories and one national engineering center.
Under the guideline of “supported by government, co-constructed by university and private capital”, the institute registered and set up the Research Institute of Hunan University Limited Company. By drawing private capital and adopting market-oriented and independent operation, it strives to achieve a positive cycle and self-sufficient development. Besides, in order to provide pioneering technological guidance and science-based services, the institute will introduce 4 state-level and one internationalized technological innovation platforms and teams of modern industry.
As it is revealed, the institute plans to focus on industrial incubation in the first phase. By introducing and applying the new generation of biological technology, it hopes to achieve good results in the following three projects: rapid and accurate breeding, industrialization of full-automatic, five-axis and digitally-controlled drill point grinder, and industrialization of technology of food security rapid detection and the related instruments.
