On October 21, at the invitation of School of Architecture of Hunan University (HUN), Professor Bernd Nentwig, dean of Institute of European cities, Bauhaus University, Germany, paid a visit to School of Architecture of HUN. Set up by the architect master Walter Gropius in 1919, Bauhaus University enjoys a world-renowned reputation as the origin of modern architecture.
Tong Hua, deputy dean of Research Institute, Xie Jun, director of Overseas Study center, and Wei Chunyu and Xu Feng, dean and deputy dean of School of Architecture had a meeting with Bernd Nentwig.
Some teachers and post-graduates of School of Architecture also attended the meeting. Both sides expressed their hopes for deepening cooperation between Chinese and German schools of higher education. Dean Wei Chunyu said that he was looking forward to long-term bilateral cooperation and exchange in scientific research as well as teaching and joint design.
