The launching ceremony of Mobile Library of Hunan University (HNU) was held in HNU Library on the morning of May 25, marking the establishment of the first mobile library in Hunan province. He Xiuming, vice head of the Science and Technology Department of Hunan Province and Chen Shou, vice president of Hunan University, as well as 190 representatives from nearly 100 libraries across the province attended the ceremony.
The Mobile Library’s system construction consists of 4 main bodies: the integrated resource search system, reader’s individual centre, readers’ interactive application, and system management. The Mobile Library has wireless Internet accesses, breaking the constraints of the space and time, and thus readers can inquire, view and get document resources conveniently and flexibly, making full use of any fragmented time for resource sharing and academic interaction.
A user experience zone equipped with 10 mobile pads were set up in the scene. From now on, the zone will be always opened so that readers can acquire the latest information and new services offered by the library.
