The 7th Financial Culture Festival, hosted by the Student Union of Hunan University, inaugurated grandly in the Student Center in the North Campus of the university on the evening of May 17. Teachers from the Communist Youth League Committee of the University, leaders in charge of the Youth League affairs and the League Secretary from colleges, chief cadres of the Students Union and more than 400 student representatives participated in this opening ceremony and enjoyed the performance. Besides, Presidents of the Student Union from five universities such as Central South University and Agricultural University of Hunan also attended the opening ceremony.

As one of the major events in Hunan University supported by faculty members and students, the Financial Culture Festival had accomplished six sessions. This festival of this session was made up of opening ceremony, financial debate, financial knowledge contest and flea market.

Themed with “Popularizing financial knowledge, experiencing academic charm” and under the slogan of “Yuelu Summit of Finance and Economy”, it abides by the idea of “to promote social practice with school learning, to cultivate an vivid academic atmosphere with innovation, and to guide the youth to concern about the people’s livelihood”. Meanwhile, inheriting the realistic and pragmatic tradition, the festival focused on exploring and innovating and emphasized on the education attitude of “seeking truth from facts, keeping pace with the times”. It is devoted to provide a communication platform for teachers and students and a feast for cultural exchange.
