The 2011 Summit on College Students' Career Development was held in Hunan University on the morning of May 20, 2011. Nearly 200 representatives attended the forum, including staff in charge of student affairs, career guidance, and psychological health education of college students, and employment guidance teachers as well.

Luan Yongyu, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Hunan University, addressed the forum. Deputy Secretary of the university Tang Yayang introduced the definition and importance of career development education and Hunan University's practice in this field.

Since 2011, School of Computer and Communication of Hunan University has carried out the activity of “College students' career development planning and guidance” to probe into career development education among college students.
