The HNU International Chinese Studies Research Center was founded on December 17, 2017.
Prof. Ik-sang Eom from Hanyang University of South Korea, Chinese Studies chief editor Prof. Yan Chunde, International Sinology chief editor Prof. Zhang Xiping, and HNU Vice President Xie Chi were present at the founding ceremony.
Vice President Xie delivered a speech, hoping that the Center will take the opportunity, and focus on frontier disciplinary development, to conduct characteristic, advanced, and brand research.
Xie, and HNU College of Chinese Language and Literature CPC Committee Secretary Yang Yongfeng, unveiled the Center.
HNU College of Chinese Language and Literature Deputy Dean Luo Zongyu holds the post of the Center director.
The Center will focus on international Chinese studies, and build itself into an influential humanity and social science research base in China and even the world.
Teachers and students from the Social Sciences Division, Division of International Programs, Yuelu Academy, School of Journalism and Communication & Film and Television Arts, College of Foreign Languages, and College of Chinese Language and Literature attended.
