A South Korean primary and middle school president delegation visited HNU on December 27, 2017. It was organized by the Honam University Confucius Institution, and led by Gwangju educational authority. Meanwhile, a 16-member student delegation came to HNU for a two-week study.
During their stay, the students had Chinese language, Chinese calligraphy, Tai Chi Quan, and Chinese tea culture courses. They visited Yuelu Academy, Hunan Museum, Hunan Embroidery Research Institution, and Li Zijian Art Museum, to learn about Hunan's education, history, and culture. The HNU International Cooperation and Exchange Office gave a lecture on ChineseEqual Education and Its Development Strategy. Beyond that, the students had a meeting withstudents majoring in Chinese language from Central South University of Forestry and Technology, and participated in a Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK).
After the two-week stay, the visiting students enhanced their Chinese language proficiency and interests in Chinese language and culture, and had a better understanding about China.
