The training course for Lao local senior government officials concluded on October 19. Deputy Director-General of Hunan Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office Ye Jingsong, HNU President Duan Xianzhong, and all the Lao trainees attended the concluding ceremony.

Director of the Vientiane Science and Technology Department as the trainee representative, Deputy Director-General Ye Jingsong, and President Duan Xianzhong delivered speeches. Deputy Director of Hunan Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Zhang Ke presided over the ceremony.

President Duan, and Deputy Director-General Ye presented course-completion certificates to the trainees.

The theme of the training course was "tourism-driven development". Several topics have been discussed, including reform, economy, culture, science and technology, and targeted poverty alleviation. Nineteen Lao local government officials from Lao capital Vientiane, and Oudomxay province, attended.
