ESI (Essential Science Indicators) latest data shows that, HNU ranks 97th among the top 1% educational institutions (1,461 in total) in terms of engineering science rankings. This is HNU’sfirst presence in the global top 100 engineering science institutions, marking a notable academic level and international influence of its engineering discipline.
The data was based on the period between January 1 and December 31, 2018. During that period, HNU published 17,852 WOS papers which were cited for 235,250 times; ranked 598thamong the top 1% institutions (6,009 in total),74 ranks higher than last year’s 672nd.
On the ESI rankings, HNU has seven top 1% disciplines – chemistry, engineering science, materials science, physics, biology and biochemistry, environmental ecology, and computer science; and two top 1‰disciplines – chemistry, and engineering science.
ESI, an analytic research tool based on Web of Science TM database, reveals influential countries, institutions, papers, publications, and cutting-edge researches in academic fields. It gives important indicators for evaluating the academic level and international influence of higher education and research institutions around the world.
