U.S. Newsreleased the2020 Best Global Universitiesrankingson October 22, 2019. The rankings included data on 1,500 universities across 81 countries.
HNU ranks 17thamong all the Chinese mainland universities, and 338thworldwide, which rise 10 and 119 places respectively over last year.
As for the international ranking, HNU rose 248 places over 2018; and, as for the domestic ranking, it rose 18 places.
U.S. News Best Global Universitiesrankings was firstly releasedin 2014. It is one of theworldly recognized university rankings, together with the QS World University Rankings, ARWU (ShanghaiRanking’s Academic Ranking of World Universities), and THE World University Rankings.
It has 13 ranking indicators, including research reputation and bibliometric indicators.
Results from Clarivate Analytics’ Academic Reputation Survey aggregated for the most recent five years were used to create the global and regional reputation indicators. The bibliometric indicators are based on data from Clarivate Analytics’ Web of Science, which covers more than 18,000 of the most influential and authoritative scholarly journals worldwide in the sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities.
