Opening ceremony
The 20thHNU Games kicked off at the track-and-field ground at the south campus on October 26. HNU President Duan Xianzhong addressed and announced the opening of the games. HNU leaders including Cao Shengyuan, Yu Xiangcheng, Li Shutao were present and attended the march-in ceremony. Li Shutao, director of HNU Sports Working Committee and vice president of HNU, presided over the opening ceremony.

The Games consisted of 189 competition items of 23 events, including traditional track and field events; group games such as rope skipping and tug of war; and, individual events such as volleyball juggling, bowling, floor curling, and shuttlecock kicking. More than 20,000 faculty and students participated in the competitions.

The games closed at the basketball gym on October 27. Vice president Li Shutao was present at the closing ceremony.
