The Ministry of Education recently announced a list of the national and provincial first-class undergraduate majors in 2020. HNU has 33 majors on the list, including 14 at national and 19 at provincial level.

In recent years, HNU has given priority to promoting undergraduate education. It has taken all-round efforts to push forward“Double First-class” construction, and formulated and implemented new undergraduate programs. It carried out the top-notch talent cultivation campaign of the Ministry of Education through developing new engineering and liberal arts subjects, and offering science and liberal arts experimental classes. School of Robotics, CRRC Collage, and Xiangjiang AI College were founded independently or cooperatively to explore a “subject + AI” talent cultivation mode.
Since the “Double First-class” initiative of the Ministry of Education was launched in 2019, HNU has been approved for 34national and 34 provincial-levelfirst-class undergraduate majors.
