The Huxiang Culture Translation and International Communication Center of Hunan Province was unveiled in Changsha on March 9, 2023.

The center will rely on Hunan University (HNU) to develop a high-quality platform for Huxiang culture translation studies and communication, so as to raise the international profile of Huxiang culture, and promote Huxiang culture translation studies and communication to a new height.

Qiu Aihua, deputy director of the Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Xie Chi, HNU vice president, attended and addressed the unveiling ceremony.

The center will perform multiple functions including translation studies, cultural communication, and talent cultivation. It will focus on studies of Huxiang culture translation and international communication, translation practices relevant to Huxiang culture, personnel training, and compilation of related books.
