The foreign affairs office holds at least one banquet every semester for the teachers.  Recent dinner entertainment has included comedy routines, dances, traditional Chinese opera and Hunan's world-famous acrobatic troupe.  The foreign experts are an extremely diverse group.  Hunan University's prestige draws teachers and students from Canada, Iran, Ghana, the United States, Yemen, Ethiopia, England, Ireland, Japan, Russia and many other countries.
