Xu Guozheng, male, born in November 1970 in Dong’an County, Hunan. He joined the Communist Party of China in April 1995, and took his first job in June 1995. He is currently member and standing committee member of the CPC Hunan University Committee, and vice president of Hunan University.
June 1995, graduated as a bachelor of law from the Department of Political Science of Hunan Normal University;
June 2007, graduated as a master of law from the Law School of Hunan University;
December 2015, graduated with a doctoral degree from the Law School of Hunan University;
June 1995, counsellor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Hunan University;
March 1997, educational management director in the Student Affairs Department, Hunan University;
August 2001, deputy director of the Office of the CPC Hunan University Committee;
January 2006, deputy director of the Student Affairs Department, Hunan University;
May 2006, director of the Admission and Career Guidance Office, Hunan University;
March to May 2007, participated as the class leader of the 7th training course for young and middle-aged cadres of the Party School of the Education Working Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee;
May 2013, director of the Student Affairs Department, and director of the National Defense Education Department, Hunan University;
September to December 2014, attended the Ministry of Education’s senior training program in the University of Reading;
2002 to present, member of the 8th Hunan Youth Federation Committee, member of the 9th and 10th standing committee of the Hunan Youth Federation, and director of the Federation’s Education Commission;
August 2012, member of the 8th CPC Hunan Provincial Committee;
August 2017 to present, standing committee member of the CPC Hunan University Committee, and vice president of Hunan University.
Research and Honors:
Xu has long engaged in college student ideological and political education, and higher education management. He published more than 10 papers on Guangming Daily, China Daily, Journal of Hunan University (Social Sciences), and Journal of Wuhan University (Social Sciences); participated in or took charge of compiling five books; and, presided over or participated in five provincial and ministerial research projects.
He has received many awards and honors, including “outstanding individual in career guidance in Hunan’s higher learning institutions”; outstanding working staff in Hunan University; model teacher of professional ethics of Hunan University; and, Huang Zhiyong outstanding young teacher award of Hunan University.
