Thomson Reuters published the list of Highly Cited Researchers 2016 recently. Prof. Tan Weihong from Hunan University (HNU) has been on the list for three consecutive years (2014 – 2016).

The 3,266 highly cited researchers cover the fields including materials, chemistry, mathematics, and engineering. 196 Chinese scientists were on the list, among whom 40 were chemistry scientists. Tan, professor of both HNU’s College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and College of Biology, was the only listed researcher in Hunan.
