The First Teaching Luncheon for Women Doctoral Teachers was held on April 17. More than 30 teachers from Hunan University (HNU) colleges and schools attended.

The HNU Teacher Development Center held the luncheon to enhance communication and exchange among the women doctoral teachers who seldom meet each outside of daily work. The luncheon is intended to promote interdisciplinary and intercollege cooperation.

Professor Tan Qionglin of the College of Foreign Languages and Liu Ge, associate professor of the College of Chinese Language and Literature co-chaired this meeting. Dr. Tan said, “When we cooperate and achieve more, the society will understand us better and support us more.” Dr. Liu believed that team effort would benefit everyone.

HNU Vice President Zhang Qiang talked with the attendees, expressing her appreciation and her hopes for the women doctoral teachers.

This luncheon and associated activities will be held periodically. Participants will share their experiences and views on one or two topics each time. The luncheon information will be available via networking platforms. Related association and publication towards women doctoral teachers are on the schedule.
