

Hunan University (HNU) and Konkuk University of South Korea signed a framework agreement for academic exchange and cooperation on April 23, to promote student and faculty exchange as well as academic communication. Konkuk President Heeyoung Song and his HNU counterpart Zhao Yueyu attended the signing ceremony.
According to the agreement, the two sides will join hands to enhance exchanges among students, professors, researchers, and faculty members, as well as deepen collaboration on academic information, journals and academic conferences. Every semester, qualified students will be sent to the other university for one semester or one year, where they can take the courses related to their majors with credits transferable.
President Zhao briefed the history and development of HNU. He added that HNU has sent over 70 students to study at Konkuk since the first agreement on academic exchanges between the two universities was reached in 2009. He expected this new agreement would bring about more achievements in student exchanges and academic communication.
Mr. Song was grateful for the cordial reception from HNU. He said that Konkuk attached great importance to cooperation with Chinese universities. He looked forward to more substantial exchanges in more fields between Konkuk and HNU.
