Prof. Shi Caijun, distinguished expert listed in “The Recruitment Program of Global Experts” and distinguished Professor of HNU, was invited to deliver a keynote speech titled “Design and Performance of Ultra High Performance Concrete” at the International Conference on Construction Materials and Structures held in University of Johannesburg in South Africa. The report was highly praised by the scientists and engineers presented at the conference from all over the world.
Since its invention, the design, production and application of Ultra High Performance Concrete has been given wide attentions throughout the world, and studied and promoted in many domestic institutions and organs. The research undertaken by Prof. Shi has been greatly supported by the United Fund of Natural Science Foundation. His research achievements include scientifically theoretical input to domestic design, production and application of Ultra High Performance Concrete.
