Convocations for the first-year undergraduate and graduate students of Hunan University was held successively in HNU on the morning of September 5th.
In addition to the students, all the university leaders, chiefs from various departments and offices, and principals of colleges and schools, as well as new student counselors attended the ceremony. HNU President Zhao Yueyu delivered the opening address, calling on more than 9000 new students to continue seeking truth from facts, being honest in academic research, and persisting on innovation with hard work.
University leaders badged new student representatives, and awarded the freshman scholarship winners.
Outstanding students and teacher representatives also delivered speeches at the ceremony, expecting the new students to strive for a brighter future with constant determination and honesty towards their dreams and hard work during their four-year campus life.
