Nine Literary Masterpieces of Hunan Announced by Hunan University to Forge a Cultural Powerful Province

The selecting results of Nine Literary Masterpieces representing Huxiang Culture were released at the Minglun Hall of Yuelu Academy in Hunan University on July 3. The nine Literary Masterpieces include Xiang Jun (lord of the Xiangjiang River) by Qu Yuan, Ode to the Roc by Jia Yi, Peach Blossom Spring by Tao Yuanming, On Yueyang Tower by Fan Zhongyan, Ode to Lotus Flower by Zhou Dunyi, Poetic Forward of Eight views of Xiaoxiang by Mi Fu, Thoughts of Chuanshan by Wang Fuzhi, A Song for Hunan Teenagers by Yang Du and Patio Spring Changsha by Mao Zedong.

The event is initiated aiming to inherit and carry forward Huxiang culture, and moreover, strengthen China's soft power. Huxiang culture is one of the prominent regional cultures in China. Huxiang culture and Hunan University are obliged to take the lead in making proper contributions to the construction of China's soft power.

Secretary of the Working Committee of the Pilot Zone of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster Zhang Wenxiong expects scholars and experts to focus on the "Two-Oriented" Society construction, work together to contribute to the cultural prosperity of the province and enrichment of the people, and make the Nine Literary Materpieces a high-end name card of Hunan.
