The First Taskin College Students' Experience of Rural Culture in Hunan was launched at Hunan Universityon June 28. Around 1,500 college students from 31 universities and 242 research groups are to volunteer their time in over 200 villages of more than 70 counties of Hunan's 14 prefecture and cities for culture research.

According to Long Youyun, chief of the organizing committee of this activity, this activity is aimed at combining cultural development in rural areas and education of college students.Via this activity, the cultural development of Hunan can be learnt to provide reference for the province's construction of new socialist countryside. Meanwhile, college students are able to improve themselves in practice.
