Jointly organized by the International Confucian Association (ICA) and Hunan University, the 4th working conference to spread Confucianism was held in Yuelu Academy on June 28.

Over 90 experts and scholars from Confucian organizations across the country made an in-depth and far-reaching discussion on the culture of academies and popularity of Confucianism. Teng Wensheng, member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC and executive vice president of ICA, and Lu Jianping, director of the Hunan Provincial Publicity Department attended the conference.

Mr. Lu stressed that the large number of academies in Hunan exert a great impact on the development of Confucianism.

The Hunan spirit of caring about the world and daring to be pioneers was initially formed in the academies. The conference, organized by the Yuelu Academy, will play a significant role in promoting the research and popularity of Confucianism.
