On April 4, 2018, the US-China Transpacific Foundation United States Congressional Assistant delegation visited Yuelu Academy and held talks with teachers and students of HNU College of Foreign Language.
The delegation visited the Lecture Hall, Yushu Library, Shiwu Study Room, Confucian Temple, Yuelu Academy History Museum, and Mao Zedong's apartment.
After visiting the academy, the delegation held a discussion with teachers and students in a conference room of the college on the theme of Sino-US education and cultural exchanges. The person who’s in charge of the HNU Division of International Programs introduced the history of the university and the contributions made by HNU to the Sino-US educational and cultural exchanges. The delegation held talks with teachers and students about major selection, student’s part-time job, and job selection. Based on self-learning and teaching experiences, teachers and students also talked about such topics as further studies in the United States and related teaching methods.
After the symposium, a delegation member exchanged gifts with person in charge of HNU Division of International Programs. The delegation also posed a group photo with the teachers and students present.
