The Third Traditional Chinese Culture Ceremony for Global Chinese kicked off at West Lake, Hangzhou on the afternoon of April 21.

The event was co-hosted by Yuelu Academy of Hunan University, ifeng.com, the Dunhe Foundation, and ParticleNews.

At the “West Lake Forum: Mission for Traditional Chinese Culture in the New Era”, many guests shared their opinions about the two topics: “Go to the Future: Chinese Culture’s Constancy and Change” and “Go to the World: Chinese Culture Dissemination”. They talked about the ups and downs of traditional Chinese culture in the past 100 years, and how to reconstruct humanistic spirit, so as to help the youth get out of the predicament of Chinese culture dissemination and making innovations in Chinese culture inheritance.

The Global Chinese Traditional Culture Awards will be selected in the following six months. The awards related to achievements on Chinese traditional cultural study, and lifetime achievements will be organized and selected by Yuelu Academy, and the awards concerning contributions to cultural dissemination by ifeng.com. The awards ceremony will be held in Beijing in October, 2018.

A series of Chinese traditional culture-themed activities will be launched, including cultural lectures, parallel forums, creative games on traditional Chinese learning, and study tours, to explore new ways to promote traditional Chinese culture and cultural innovation.
