Between May 20 and 23, the 2018 Changsha Media Arts Festival and the International Youth Forum: Creativity and Heritage along the Silk Road were both held in Changsha. Thirty-three student volunteers from HNU College of Foreign Languages offered services for the events.
They assisted with guests' arrivals and departures at the airport, did translation and other services. They are not only thoughtful staff, but also the envoys of Chinese culture. Their fluent English, rigorous work attitude, and hospitality have left a deep impression on the foreign guests.
At the High-level Forum held on May 23, twins from the College of Foreign Languages represented Chinese youth to introduce the “Experience Changsha Media Arts Program”.
The event was jointly organized by the UNESCO; the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations; the China National Commission for UNESCO; and, the Changsha Municipal People's Government.
It aimed to showcase Changsha’s latest development in media arts and cultural creative industry, serve as a bridge to promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning, and strengthen exchanges between Changsha and Belt and Road countries.
