The 4th Investing in Africa Forum visited Yuelu Academy on September 8, 2018. CPC Hunan University Committee Deputy Secretary Yu Xiangcheng accompanied them during the visit.

The Forum was held in Changsha between September 6 and 8. It was themed "Deepening Investment Cooperation with Africa to Promote Sustainable Development and Share Prosperity in China and Africa". Discussions were focused on these topics: agricultural modernization in Africa; China-Africa educational cooperation; jointly tackling climate change and accelerating new energy development; medical care and public health cooperation; and, digital economy and innovation.

The guests were enchanted by the antique architectural style and profound cultural background of Yuelu Academy, as they entering the academy gate. They toured along the central axis to Hexi Platform, the second gate, the lecture hall, and the imperial library, and listened to the interpretation about the academy's history, layout, content of the banners and couplets, and the educational mode and rules.
