The opening ceremony of the 4th Sino-US Forum on Nanoscale Science and Technology.
The 14thSino-US Forum on Nanoscale Science and Technology, hosted by HNU, opened on June 21, 2019. It concentrated on nanoscale science and cutting-edge technology.
Nearly 1,000 prominent researchers, experts, scholars, and managers participated in the opening ceremony, including: Dai Hongjie, member of the National Academy of Science of U.S.A. and professor of Stanford University; Yang Peidong, member of the National Academy of Science of U.S.A. and professor of University of California, Berkeley; Li Shutang, member of the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), and professor of Suzhou University; Zhao Dongyuan, CAS academician, and professor of Fudan University; Li Yadong, CAS academician, and professor of Tsinghua University; Cheng Huiming, CAS academician, and professor from CAS Institute of Metal Research; Tong Xudong, director of the Hunan Department of Science and Technology, and president of the Hunan Industrial Technology Coordinated Innovation Research Institute; Luo Shehui, HunanXiangjiang New Area CPC Working Committee member, and Management Committee director; and, young scholars in nanometer technology research.

Academic reports, round-table discussion, and posters were presented concentrated on five topics –nano biology and medicine science; nano information device; nano photonic technology; nano energy technology; and, in-situ measurement and characterization technology.
The Sino-US Forum on Nanoscale Science and Technology was initiated in 2006. It is a top-rank nanoscale science event for Chinese and U.S.A. researchers, which provides a communication platform for their cutting-edge researches, and propels the rapid development of nanoscale science in China.
