HNU andthe State Grid Hunan Electric Power Company Limited reached a comprehensive cooperation agreement at the National Supercomputing Center in Changsha on August 28. The two parties agreed to set a “Hunan model” of energy internet to contribute to Hunan’s high-quality economic and social development.
Cooperation will be focus on joint work on key research projects; opening and sharing of lab resources; coordination of production and education; and, transformation and application of important research findings. The two parties will leverage their advantages to enhance collaborative research on key technology of energy internet, andboost co-building an ecosystem of energy internet.
Meng Qingqiang, chairman of the State Grid Hunan Electric Power Company Limited, presented the goal of becoming “a world-class energy internet enterprise with Chinese characteristics”. Luo An, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, analyzed the problems in new energy power generation, connection of high-voltage direct current to Hunan grid, andpeak load regulating problems, and provided solutions to stabilize operation of Hunan grid.
As agreed, the two parties will boost deep cooperation and comprehensive integration of production and education, so as to facilitate HNU’s work of building a “double first-class” university, promote the State Grid’s strategy of building “a world-class energy internet enterprise with Chinese characteristics” in Hunan, and contribute to building an attractive and prosperous Hunan with a promising future.
