The 31stInternational Conference on Diamond and Carbon Materials (DCM) was held between September 6 and 9, 2021. Prof. Liu Jilei from HNU College of Materials Science and Engineering won the Early Career Research Award at the conference, which was to commend his significant achievements in carbonaceous-based electrochemical energy storage. He delivered a presentation, as an invited speaker, to introduce his team’s latest research progress on the potassium storage mechanism in graphite.
DCM, hosted bythe Elsevier and the Materials Today journals, focuses on the cutting-edge research on diamond and carbon materials. The Early Career Research Award is granted to the young researchers who have made outstanding and influential achievements in the field, to encourage young scholars to pursue more progress.
Prof. Liu has been engaged in developing high-performance carbonaceous-based electrochemical energy storage devices for renewable energy storage and delivery, and serving the national strategy of achievingpeak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality.
