On the morning of September 8, the 2021 “Hunan Model Teachers” Award Ceremony and a gathering to celebrate the 37th Teachers’ Day were held in Changsha. Xu Dazhe, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, and Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, met and took photos with representatives of outstanding teachers.

HNU Assistant President Chen Renpeng, on behalf of HNU, attended the ceremony.

Three HNU teachers were awarded at the ceremony. They are: Prof. Luo An, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Liu Liping, associate professor and an ideological and political theory teacher in the Marxism School; and, Yu Hanyu, an instructor of the College of Materials Science and Engineering. Yu, as a candidate for the “Hunan Model Teachers” shared her story – “I am an ‘internet influencer’ for students”.
