The 7th China International College Students’ “Internet +” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competitionwas held at Nanchang University between October 12 and 15, 2021. HNU team won one gold, five silver, and one bronze prizes in the finals. The high-performance bridge structure technology project of the Zhongqiao Hi-tech Team of HNU College of Civil Engineering was the only gold prize winner in Hunan track.
Themed “Dare to Differ, Dare to Win”, the competition had fivetracks , with more than 9.56 million participators and more than 2.28 million projects of 4,347 universities from 121 countries and regions.The number of projects and participators hit a record high. A new track for industrial proposition was added on this session, in order to encourage universities to integrate innovation and entrepreneurship education with solving practical technology difficulties of industries.
Over the past 7 years, the competition has upgraded in terms of scale and quality. It has become an important practice to foster virtue through education and improve education quality; a platform for boosting innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in universities; a window to showcase achievements of higher education reform; and, a global event to realize college students’ dreams of innovation and entrepreneurship.
