A racing car, designed and produced by students from Hunan University, defeated the modified Golf R in its debut match in Xingtong Racing Club beside Songya Lake on September 25..On October 15, the students will participate in Formula SAE (FSAE) of China in Shanghai with their racing car.
It took over 6 months to design the racing car which cost them more than 230,000 yuan. The car weighs about 210 kg and it only takes less than 5 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h.
