Deng Wei, male, Han nationality, was born in March, 1966, in Yibin City, Sichuan Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in April, 1986, and entered the workforce in August, 1989. He earned a master’s degree. He is now member of the CPC Hunan University Committee and its standing committee; Party secretary of the CPC Hunan University Committee; and, professor.

Aug. 1989: Worked at THU after holding undergraduate degree, served as ideological and political education instructor and secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee of the School of Architecture, THU;

Mar. 1994: Worked at THU, served as team leader of student affairs of the CPC Architecture School Committee, and its deputy Party secretary;

Research areas:
Deng has been long devoted to economic argument of urban planning; construction project feasibility study; and, housing problems and policies. He obtained the title of National First Grade Registered Urban Planner. He has published monographs such as Urban Economics, Housing Economics, Architectural Engineering Economics, and Annual Report on Urban Housing Development.
