The conference on the large-scale Television documentary -- "The Stories Of Mao Zedong's Relics" was held in Hunan University this morning, April 10. Hosted by Anchorman Mei Dong from the Hunan Satellite TV, the conference was attended by around 400 teachers and students from Hunan University and Hunan First Normal College.
Wei Wei, deputy minister of the Publicity Bureau of the Hunan Provincial CPC Committee, Liu Shaofeng, deputy director of the Culture & Art Division of the Hunan Provincial CPC Committee, Liu Lixia, deputy minister of the Publicity Department of the Changsha CPC Committee, Luan Yongyu, deputy secretary of the Hunan University CPC Committee, Tang Zhenming, head of the Publicity Division of Hunan University CPC Committee, Liu Hongxiang, deputy head of Hunan First Normal College, Shu Kebin, deputy head of the Publicity Division of Hunan First Normal University CPC Committee and others were present at the conference.
The year of 2010 marks the 60th anniversary of the inscriptions of the Hunan University name, the Hunan First Normal College's name and school motto by Mao Zedong. This TV documentary, with Huang Hui as the chief writer, and Zou Peng the chief scenarist, has vividly presented to the audience the true life and characteristics of Mao Zedong through around 20 major relics selected from his over 6000 relics.
After a 25-minute documentary on Mao Zedong's English Vocabulary Learning Cards, six teacher and student representatives from both Hunan University and Hunan First Normal College made speeches on their understanding of and inspirations gained from this documentary.
Huang Hui and Zou Peng, as the chief producers of the documentary, gave brief overview on it, and their interactions with the students on the documentary won great applause from the audience.
