An annual ceremony to honor scientific and technological innovations was held in Changsha on June 10. HNU has six research achievements awarded with first prize of Hunan Scientific and Technological Award.

Du Jiahao, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, presented award certificates to the winners. Xu Dazhe, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Hunan governor, delivered a speech. Wu Lan, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, presided over the ceremony.

HNU had 22 research achievements awarded, including:

Six first prizes (one in natural science, two for technological inventions, and three for scientific and technological progress) as first accomplisher;

Four second prizes in natural science;

One international cooperation award; and,

One first, three second, and seven third prizes as participator;

Liu Xun, a young teacher and also department director and doctoral supervisor of HNU College of Electrical and Information Engineering, addressed the ceremony representing the winners.
